This course satisfies Florida Statute 471.0195 – Florida Professional Engineers who do work with buildings and building systems. It is required to sign and seal construction and inspection documents.
This course covers the significant changes and updates in the 2023 8th Edition Florida Building Code (FBC) which was recently updated from the 2020 FBC 7th Edition Florida Building Code. The course progresses through each section of the FBC identifying chapters, sections, and tables where significant changes occurred, explains the change, and highlights the exact code in the FBC.
The course also highlights the differences and includes base code changes in the 2012 International Building Codes and the Florida specific changes.
The goal is to become familiar with the most recent significant additions, deletions, and modifications.
