Finally, after almost a year of studying, two separate all-day tests, and waiting for months of processing, my license was approved by the board! What a great day!
The message came in an email. The sending address was no-reply@myfloridalicense.com. The title was “BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS LICENSE”. It read,
Board of Professional Engineers
Dear Licensee,
Please find attached your Board of Professional Engineers license and wallet card.

Name changes require legal documentation showing the name change. An original, a certified copy, or a duplicate copy of an original or certified copy of a document that shows the legal name change will be accepted unless there is a question about the authenticity of the document, or because of another matter related to the application.
At least 90 days prior to the expiration date shown on this license, a notice of renewal will be sent to your last known address. If you have not yet received your notice 60 days prior to the expiration date, please call (850) 521-0500 and select “Renewal”, or write Florida Board of Professional Engineers, 2400 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32308, or email board@fbpe.org.
You are no longer required to report continuing education to the Board. But pursuant to Rule 61G15-22.006, Florida Administrative Code, Demonstrating Compliance, you must retain for four years all receipts, certificates, or other documentation as necessary to show completion of continuing education, which you must produce if you are audited. For more information related to continuing education requirements, go to the Continuing Education page on our website.
Adobe Reader is necessary to view the PDFs. Go to get.adobe.com/reader/ to download the application.
If you have any questions, please visit FBPE.org or call the Board at (850) 521-0500.
The new license was attached to the email. It was printed out and posted on the office wall.
The last step was to link a Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) account to the license. The account will be used to register and qualify the new business as well as license renewal.
