Electrical Integrity Inspections are required with Building Safety Inspections to ensure continuing safe occupancy. The electrical inspection focuses on evaluating the condition and performance of the building’s electrical systems. Key components of the inspection include:

Service Entrances and Feeders: Assessing the integrity and capacity of main service equipment, including cables, conduits, and related hardware.

Electrical Panels and Equipment: Inspecting for signs of deterioration or overheating.
- Overcurrent Protection Devices: Checking circuit breakers and fuses for proper sizing, functionality, and signs of wear.

Wiring Methods: Evaluating the condition of wiring systems, ensuring proper installation, and identifying potential hazards such as exposed or damaged wiring.

Upon completion of the inspection, the licensed professional must submit a written report to the Building Official and the property owner or association within 90 days of receiving the Notice of Required Building Safety Inspection. This report must certify that the building’s electrical systems are safe for continued use or detail any necessary repairs or modifications required to achieve compliance.
